Valley maps for Beyond All Reason

A low valley between two heights. Whoever owns the high ground owns the artillery.

Valley carves a long, low floor through the map and raises the land on either side. Spawns sit on or near the floor, the high ground is contested, and ramps decide where armour can get up.

Expect the fight to be about the slopes: artillery and anti-air on the rims, raiders in the valley picking off the metal on the floor.

Made for: 16×16 to 32×32, up to 16 players. Every map is mirrored, so both sides get the same ground and the same metal.

How it plays

What to build on a valley map

Ground

Ramps are the chokes. Bots climb where tanks cannot; a hovercraft or two shortcut the floor.

Air and sea

Air matters: the rims are long, hard to defend and perfect for gunship runs on the artillery.

Economy

Floor metal is rich and exposed; rim metal is safer and farther. Reclaim as usual.

Straight out of the generator

1 valley map, untouched

From the gallery: one press of Generate map each, nothing edited. The name under a map rebuilds it.

Offline, against the AI

Open Eclipse, press Create, choose Against AI, offline, pick VALLEY as the style and a size. Eclipse generates the map and starts Beyond All Reason on it.

In a room

Type !genmap 4v4 VALLEY (or 1v1, 2v2, 3v3) in the room chat. Everyone in the room gets the same map by name, nobody sends a file.
